Privacy policy
Houtwerk BV ("Houtwerk") considers the protection of your personal data important. This policy explains which data we process, why we do so and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.
Who is responsible?
Houtwerk BV, Kruineikestraat 117, 3150 Haacht, Belgium, company number (KBO) 0686.559.565. Representative: Filip Van Roosendael. For questions about your data, email info@houtwerkbvba.be.
What data do we process?
We only process the data needed for the purposes below:
- identity and contact details, such as name, address, phone number and email address
- details about your project, such as the site address, a description of your wishes, plans, photos and your budget
- the content of your messages and emails to us
- billing details, if you become a client
- technical data such as your IP address, which our hosting provider logs to keep the website running securely
Why do we process your data?
- To answer your question or quote request. We do this at your request, as a step towards a possible contract.
- To perform our contract with you: the design, production, installation, invoicing and follow-up of your project.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as our accounting and tax obligations.
- With your consent, for example to use photos of your project as a reference. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who receives your data?
We never sell your data. We only share it where necessary:
- with service providers who help us, such as our hosting provider Cloudflare (website and spam protection for the forms), Resend (delivery of form messages), our email service and our accountant. They only process your data on our instructions.
- with suppliers or partners involved in your project, insofar as this is necessary to carry it out
- with public authorities, if the law requires us to
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep your data?
No longer than necessary. If no contract is concluded, we delete your request as soon as it is no longer relevant. Data we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, is kept for the statutory period.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies to track you or for advertising. The map on the contact page is only loaded from OpenStreetMap if you click on it yourself. The forms are protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical data from your browser to tell whether a person is filling in the form. It is not used to track you or for advertising.
How do we protect your data?
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Only people who need the data for their work have access to it.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to have its processing restricted, to object to its processing and to have your data transferred. Send your request to info@houtwerkbvba.be. We will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

We may update this policy. You will always find the most recent version on this page.
