Frequently asked questions
Below you'll find answers to the questions we're asked most often. Can't see your question? Get in touch or call us on 016 26 00 45.
Quotes and prices
Is a quote free of obligation?
Yes. After a conversation and a site visit to measure up, we send you a tailored quote. You're only committed to the job once you sign the quote.
Why don't you show prices per metre on the website?
Because with bespoke work, every project is different. The price depends on the dimensions, materials, interior layout, hardware and installation. A guide price per metre would often be misleading. A tailored quote gives you an accurate picture.
Which VAT rate applies?
In Belgium, renovation work on a private home that is more than ten years old can, under certain conditions, qualify for the reduced VAT rate of 6% instead of the standard 21%. New builds are generally charged at 21%. Our quote states which rate applies to your situation.
Can I go through my quote in the showroom?
Yes, and we actually recommend it. With the samples to hand, it's easier to make choices and fine-tune the quote where needed.
Planning and installation
How long will it take for my project to be ready?
That depends on the size of the project and on the rest of your building work. With the quote we give you a realistic timeline, and we coordinate installation with your other contractors.
When in my renovation should I get in touch?
As early as possible. If we're involved at the design stage, we can allow for sockets, pipework, lighting and floor build-ups. That avoids changes later on.
Do you measure up yourselves?
Yes. We always do our own measuring. That way we're sure everything fits at installation, even if walls or floors aren't perfectly straight.
Do you install everything yourselves?
Yes. Our team installs what we make in the workshop, adjusts everything and goes over it with you at handover.
Do you work with architects?
Yes, regularly. We build designs by architects and interior architects and liaise directly with the practice on technical details and scheduling.
Materials and design
What materials do you work with?
Lacquered panels in any colour, wood veneers such as oak and walnut, melamine, solid wood and a range of worktop materials. You can see and compare samples in our showroom.
Can the cabinets, kitchen, floor and stairs all be in the same wood?
Yes. Because we make everything ourselves, we can match veneer, solid wood and parquet, so your interior forms one whole.
Do you make handleless cabinets?
Yes. We use push-to-open, routed handles or a handle rail, depending on how the cabinet is used and the look you're after.
Do you take on smaller jobs too?
Yes. A cupboard in an alcove, a window sill, a couple of interior doors or a vanity unit: smaller jobs are welcome too.
Care and maintenance
How do I look after lacquered cabinets?
With a soft, slightly damp cloth and, if needed, a mild cleaning product. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which can damage the surface.
How do I look after a parquet floor?
That depends on the finish. After installation we'll give you advice on the care that suits your floor.
Can doors and drawers be adjusted later on?
Yes. Wood moves slightly with the seasons. If anything needs adjusting over time, just give us a call.
