Fitted cabinets that fit right into the corner
A bespoke cabinet makes use of every centimetre: from floor to ceiling, in the awkward corner under the roof or around a fireplace. At Houtwerk we design each cabinet around your space and your belongings, make it in our own workshop in Tildonk and install it ourselves. The result is a piece that looks as if it has always been part of the house.

What we make to measure
Storage walls and built-in cupboards
A full wall of handleless doors, with open shelving, a lit alcove or a flush concealed door into another room if you like.
Walk-in wardrobes and fitted wardrobes
Walk-in dressing rooms and bedroom wardrobes laid out around your clothes, with drawers, shoe racks and hanging space exactly where you need them.
TV units and fireplace walls
A media wall where the screen, speakers and cables disappear, or a fireplace wall that brings together the fire, log storage and cupboard space.
Bookcases and room dividers
Open shelving units that separate two spaces, or a floor-to-ceiling wall of books, with a library ladder if you wish.
Home offices and desks
A workspace you can close away at the end of the day, with room for a printer, files and cables.
Cupboards under the stairs and the eaves
Awkward spaces under a staircase or a sloping roof become bespoke storage, with doors or drawers that follow the slope perfectly.

Bespoke rather than off the shelf
Off-the-shelf cabinets come in fixed widths and heights. Whatever space is left over becomes a filler panel or a dust trap. A bespoke cabinet runs right up to the ceiling and walls, follows uneven floors and protruding beams, and has an interior layout that suits what you want to keep in it. You gain storage space and the whole room looks calmer.

Sleek, handleless or with a statement
Many clients choose a calm, handleless storage wall that blends into the wall. Others want a statement: an alcove in oak veneer, a dark volume in a light room or an open shelf with integrated LED lighting. We work out the proportions of doors, shelves and gaps together with you, so the whole composition feels right.

In tune with the rest of your interior
Because we also make kitchens, parquet floors and interior joinery, we match your cabinets to the rest of your interior. The veneer of a storage wall can return in the staircase, a cabinet can run into the kitchen island and the skirting can continue right under the cupboard door. The result is one coherent whole.
Materials and finishes
We work with materials that look good and last:
- Lacquered panels in any colour, matt or with a soft sheen
- Wood veneer, including oak and walnut, in a range of tones and finishes
- Melamine panels for cabinet interiors and easy-care applications
- Solid wood for shelves, edges and details
- Hardware with soft-close doors and drawers, push-to-open or routed handles
In our showroom you can handle all the samples and compare them side by side.
From our projects
All projectsQuestions we're often asked
How much does a fitted cabinet cost?
That depends on the dimensions, the materials, the interior layout and the hardware. A storage wall in lacquered panels is priced differently from a walnut cabinet with lighting and drawers. After measuring up, we'll send you a detailed quote, with no obligation.
Can you make a cabinet for a sloping wall or under the stairs?
Yes, those are exactly the places where bespoke makes the difference. We measure the slopes precisely and make doors and panels that fit exactly.
Can lighting be built into the cabinet?
Yes. We fit LED lighting in alcoves, open shelving or inside the cabinet, and allow for the position of the power supply in the design.
Do you install the cabinets yourselves?
Yes. Our team installs the cabinets, adjusts the doors and drawers and goes over everything with you at handover.
